Meeker County Board

Meeker County's governing body consists of five commissioners, each representing a district within the county. Elections for these seats occur every two years in November. The County Board meets at 8:30 a.m. on the first and second Tuesdays, and at 10 a.m. on the third Tuesday at the Meeker County Courthouse, 325 Sibley Ave. N. Litchfield City Council

The city of Litchfield is governed by a seven-member City Council. Staggered elections occur every two years in November. Litchfield City Council meets at 5:30 p.m. on the first and third Mondays of the month at Litchfield City Hall, 126 Marshall Ave N. For information, call (320) 693-7201.


Litchfield City Hall

Litchfield city staff and City Council members moved into their new home in March 2006. The new City Hall at 126 Marshall Ave. N. is just south of the former City Hall, which was built in 1900 as an opera house. The new 7,886-square-foot building boasts about 40,000 feet of technology wiring, which includes telephones, computer hookups, security cameras, and cameras and a sound system in the council chambers. Litchfield Public Access videotapes City Council meetings and broadcasts them on television, channel 10 or 13, depending on the cable provider.
